How to electronically transfer securities to the University of New Hampshire Foundation

Your gift of publicly traded securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds) that have appreciated in value allow you to avoid capital gains taxes while also receiving a tax deduction for your gift. You can specify an area that you would like the proceeds to support (e.g. Biology program). The University benefits by selling the stock, and you benefit from making a contribution that can provide significant tax and financial benefits, such as providing a valuable income tax deduction.

Contact the UNH Foundation in advance of the transfer. Tell the Foundation representative you’ve been working with or any of the representatives listed below the name of the stock, the number of shares you will be donating, and for which purpose (e.g. Biology program) you would like the securities designated towards. This information will identify the donor when the gift is received into our Wells Fargo account. Electronic transfers do not arrive with the donor’s name.
