The University of New Hampshire’s Research and Engagement Academy is designed to enhance faculty members’ scholarly careers by strengthening the quality and quantity of proposals submitted to external funders and to increase the diversity of faculty who are awarded grant funding. Tenure-track, research, and extension faculty who exhibit promise are nominated to the Research and Engagement Academy by their dean or director. As a result of a competitive application review process, conducted by a team of senior UNH faculty, faculty scholars are selected from those who applied. Participation in the Academy is representative of all UNH Colleges and Schools, UNH-Manchester, UNH Cooperative Extension, the Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans, and Space, and the Carsey Institute.
