Marketing Work Exchange

A family-owned and -operated bed and breakfast located in the beautiful
lakeside town of Valle de Bravo is thrilled to invite a self-motivated,
creative-thinking individual to bring new ideas and a great work ethic to the
bed and breakfast and ranch property they are converting to an integrated-
living hotel. Experience, though greatly valued, is less important than a
desire to contribute and the ambition to discover new marketing initiatives to
drive new guests to the properties. This internship will be a best-fit for
those individuals with some background in online marketing who enjoy learning
through doing and who seek experience in either or both marketing, and the
hospitality industry.

In exchange for 6-7 hours per day of marketing work, the owners (a husband and
wife) will provide housing and a stipend for your grocery needs. This is an
excellent opportunity for someone looking to work closely with upper level
management and to build a brand from the ground up.


The Marketing Intern will be responsible for managing the brand with the goal
of generating more traffic to their properties, improving the rate of return
customers, building a stronger web presence, and identifying and tapping into
new potential tourist markets for both properties. It is expected that the
Marketing Intern be an active leader with the ability to implement a provided
marketing plan while consistently seeking innovative ways to promote and
elevate the brand. This position requires a passionate appreciation and
respect for marketing, hospitality, copywriting, networking, and
communications as well as the desire to work in a self-propelled environment.

Education/Applied Experience:
· College degree, preferably in the area of marketing, hospitality or
equivalent experience.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze, evaluate and report on
all components related to overseeing marketing and brand development.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media outlets, blogs, travel
websites, and general grasp of travel industry preferred.


· Independently motivated with excellent leadership skills in all essential
job functions.
· Fluent in either Spanish language or English, both preferred.
· Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and great attention to
· Creative, strategic thinker who knows how to use marketing channels and
personal communication to gain customer loyalty.
· Advanced writing and communication skills with a polished, professional
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Highly accurate, organized and detail oriented, with strong multi-tasking
and time management skills.
