This is a new position for someone who would work in all aspects of farming, but specifically with the chef who is canning our produce for sale at farmers markets and at farm stands.
Approx 15 hours a week, and will be paid a stipend of $100/week. We will start off with our strawberry crop, then move to peaches, and end up with tomatoes and figs. We are also looking to establish a line of dried herbs.
When there isn't any work for food preservation, the intern will help out on the farm and will attend farmers markets. There are many opportunities for growth within the company to expand the line of canned goods or to find full time employment.
Dover Vineyards is a 6 acre produce farm and 7 acre vineyard. We specialize in sustainable production methods, use organic protocol, but are not certified.
