Farm Manager

Spend the 2015 growing season at a small berry and produce farm, focusing on biointensive, regenerative practices.  We are seeking an energetic individual or couple willing to partner for the farming season. Fed by spring water, we grow a wide variety of annual crops and are working to develop our land and infrastructure to create a working, profitable model of small scale farming.

We are certified Bee Friendly, and of course use no pesticides or chemical fertilizers.

Foxhole Farms is located outside of Freestone, CA. The vision is of an art- driven, bio-intensive farm and community hub that can feed and sustain visitors and residents alike, and act as a model for small farm development in rural/residential areas.

The ideal candidate has experience with growing and harvesting a wide variety of crops, and can help maintain the infrastructure on a farm/homestead.  Prior experience in community living is key.  This is an ideal position for someone with a few years of farming, gardening and/or landscaping experience and who is ready to take the next step towards running their own project.  The position requires that you be able to work independently and also have the ability to direct other interns and volunteers, especially during peak production periods later in the summer.  Ideally the manager would be able to assist with current operations and help expand the project.

We welcome queer and queer friendly women and men with patience, flexibility, and general good attitude about life to contact us.  Housing is provided, and salary and/or profit share is commensurate with experience.  Please send a letter of interest and resume to
