The Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia's Garden Justice Legal Initiative (GJLI) is hiring a community organizer to work with gardeners and farmers and others engaged in community-driven land-based projects.
The job posting is here: http://pilcop.org/staff-positions/
GJLI provides legal and advocacy support to community gardens and urban farms in disinvested neighborhoods in the Philadelphia area. We support projects working to grow healthy, affordable, culturally appropriate food; promote community land and food sovereignty; engage in leadership and economic development; and reclaim vacant land.
Our organizing initiative is in partnership with NYC's 596 Acres. The folks at 596 Acres build tools to make vacant land accessible to communities. They are working with us on a web-based platform designed for Philadelphia.
