Garden Manager and Permaculture Educator

Pickards Mountain Eco-Institute is currently seeking a qualified part-time Permaculture Educator & Garden Manager to join our team. This person ideally has a background in sustainable and organic farm management, a desire to share their knowledge and experience farming with others, a deep love for the natural world, and should feel aligned with the mission of PMEI. The garden manager will work closely with other PMEI staff, and will be under the direct supervision of the Executive Director.  

Extension Faculty

Here is an opening with the Oregon State University Small Farms Program (part of the Center for Small Farms & Community Food Systems). It is a 0.75 FTE extension faculty position with opportunities for full time employment (funding is recurring). It is located in Salem, Oregon in the mid-Willamette Valley of western Oregon (about 60 minutes south of Portland). The position collaborates with other Small Farms faculty in a very effective team. The OSU Small Farms program focuses on organic/biological/sustainable approaches to farming and enhancement of local/regional food systems. 

Community Nutrition Program Coordinator

BronxWorks helps individuals and families improve their economic and social well being. From toddlers to seniors, we feed, shelter, teach, and support out neighbors to build a stronger community. The Healthy and Livable Mott Haven Partnership is a place-based initiative aiming to decrease rates of chronic health conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx.

Nutrition and Health Educator

Education Program Manager

With a mission to promote sustainable land use, Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center includes a 25-acre organic farm, an education center, and native plant nursery located on 200 acres of forest and valley land in the Snoqualmie Valley, 25 miles east of Seattle. The farm supports a 700-member CSA and supplies local restaurants and grocery stores with organic produce. Our education center, with a one-acre Kid’s Farm and Living Playground, is committed to teaching children about sustainable agriculture and the environment.
