Farmer's Assistant

Green Village Initiative is a nonprofit in Bridgeport, Connecticut whose mission is to create social, economic and environmental change with its urban farm, 13 community gardens, 24 school gardens and youth leadership program. Through our work, we promote and educate about healthy eating, agriculture and gardening.

Ag Ed/Env Studies faculty position

Successful candidates must be interested in teaching agricultural education and related courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum including supervision of student teachers. Development of a teaching licensure program in Agricultural Education and an emphasis in Sustainable Agriculture that builds on the existing major in Environmental Science is expected.  The successful candidate will be able to identify community partnerships and funding sources and will be expected to recruit students.
