Liberty Heights Fresh, a sustainable specialty market in Salt Lake City, Utah is hiring for the positions of Cheesemonger and Prep Cook. Qualified applicants should have prior experience working with food, a strong work ethic, and work well within a small, driven team.
This is a new position for someone who would work in all aspects of farming, but specifically with the chef who is canning our produce for sale at farmers markets and at farm stands.
Approx 15 hours a week, and will be paid a stipend of $100/week. We will start off with our strawberry crop, then move to peaches, and end up with tomatoes and figs. We are also looking to establish a line of dried herbs.
A Family Farm & Delicious Food. Little Ghent Farm, home of Made In Ghent LLC, is a 75 acre farm raising Animal Welfare Approved laying hens and meat chickens alongside woodland heritage pigs and bees. We are a new business and are growing. In addition to farming activities we operate a farm store and a commercial kitchen where we make bread, preserves, baked goods and food-to-go made from our products or from local farms. In our inspiring surroundings we also host entrepreneurial and creatively themed workshops with external experts which we cater and facilitate.
Our year-round Farm Market supplies local residents and out-of-towners with our own meats, fresh produce and added-value products, as well as other local and organic groceries and treats. Our market is the main site of our farm's meat and produce sales. In addition, our Market Kitchen serves lunch items, prepared foods, caters events and utilizes farm-fresh produce for seasonal offerings.
We are looking to fill multiple positions in our market and kitchen for the season and the year.

The Children’s Aid Society (CAS) helps children in poverty to succeed and thrive.
