Rock Steady Farm & Flowers is located 2 hours north of New York City in Millerton, NY. We believe in utilizing holistic farming practices that allow us to grow high quality vegetables, flowers and herbs for a diverse array of market outlets. We manage a total of 11 acres- 1.5 in flowers, 6.5 in veggies, and 3 acres of full-season rotational cover crop. We grow for our Millerton based CSA, partner farm store, farmers market, and wholesale accounts with restaurants, designers, florists, and grocery stores both upstate and in NYC.

Vegetable Production Crew Member

Job Description : Crew members will participate in every aspect of vegetable growing, including greenhouse work, planting, hand and tractor cultivation, disease and pest management, harvesting, and washing and packing. In addition they will attend and run one local farmer's market stand each week.

Schedule: This is a seasonal, full-time position beginning in the spring

(April) and ending mid-November. Work is spread over 5 to 5½ days/week. Hours will range from 40 to 65 and will average out over the season to around 55/ week.
