Garden Internship

The Youth Garden Project is a non-profit organization in Moab, UT.  Our mission is to cultivate healthy children, families, and community through educational programs and the profound act of connecting people with food from seed to table.  Garden interns will have the opportunity to learn organic gardening techniques and skills while working in a combined production and education garden.

Internship Details:

Farm Manager

Wellspring Education Center & Organic Farm is 34 years old and is the oldest CSA operation in Wisconsin. Our Farm Managers, Assistant Farm Managers and Interns go on to own their own farms, manage others farms, and continue to impact the food system. Since 2007, 10  have gone on to start their own farms in the region.

 

Wellspring is a non-profit education/retreat center and organic farm that inspires and teaches people to grow, prepare and eat healthy food. In so doing, we transform food systems and build community.

 

Vegetable Farm Workers

The Family Garden organic and fair farm in Gainesville, FL is looking for four full time farm workers.  In the past we have always had experienced workers and have maintained a fast paced, efficient, respectful, and fair work environment. This past year our farm moved from Bell (the country) to Gainesville (the city), and unfortunately most of the folks who have worked with us did not make the move with us. So now we need you.

 

Responsibilities include:

Picking produce

Washing and packing produce

Community Engagement Coordinator

Longview Farm Community Engagement Coordinator

 Greener Partners (GP) seeks a full-time (40-hour/week) Community Engagement 

Coordinator (CEC) based at Longview Farm in Collegeville, PA.  The CEC will communicate GP’s mission in the surrounding community.  The ideal candidate will have experience doing organizing and/or outreach work, be an engaging educator and experienced farmer/gardener, have a demonstrated commitment to food justice, and know Norristown and the local community.

Program Manager

The Children’s Aid Society (CAS) helps children in poverty to succeed and thrive. We do this by providing comprehensive supports to children and their families in targeted, high-needs New York City neighborhoods.  In 2003, CAS launched a number of programs aimed at preventing and slowing the rates of childhood obesity in the communities we serve. The programs come together under the umbrella of Go!Healthy, a comprehensive obesity prevention and health promotion initiative that engages children from birth through adolescence, as well as parents and staff.

Crop Manager

Featherstone Farm is seeking an experienced individual to join our Horticulture Team to help grow quality organic produce. We are seeking a positive, engaged, self-motivated team player with a passion for completing high-quality work.
