  • Live-On Requirement: as of Fall 2023, all new undergraduate, full time, first year and transfer students, who are under the age of 21, on the UNH Durham campus are required to live on campus for 4 semesters, unless they have an approved exemption.

Basic Needs

Services: Provides housing, food and financial support to students in need.

  • Housing: The Inn Between is available to UNH students to pay for housing during Thanksgiving, Spring Break and January Term. UNH also provides emergency support for students experiencing emergency housing loss.
  • Food: Swipe it Forward is a program for UNH students who are challenged by food insecurity to confidentially request and receive meal swipes in the dining halls or as a Meal to Go. The Cats’ Cupboard is a free food pantry in MUB for students.
  • Money: The Student Emergency Financial Assistance Fund (SEFA) provides UNH students who are unable to meet essential expenses due to a temporary or unexpected hardship with short-term financial assistance once per academic year.
  • Laptop Loaner program.
