Continued Fall Semester COVID-19 Testing: KIT PICKUP SEPT. 13-17

Dear Members of the Durham Community—

Cases of COVID-19 are on the rise on our campus, both in those who are fully vaccinated and those who are not. As a result, testing will continue through the fall semester on the same schedule as September testing and you are required to pick up additional test kits next week, Sept. 13-17, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at the Whittemore Center. Please read this message in its entirety.

Test Kit Pickup:

  • Please pick up kits on your college’s assigned day if possible; this is for faculty, staff and students. No appointment is needed; any time between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
    • Monday, Sept. 13: College of Health & Human Services 
    • Tuesday, Sept. 14: College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, Continuing Education, Carsey School, NRESS, interdisciplinary grad, no college designated 
    • Wednesday, Sept. 15: College of Liberal Arts 
    • Thursday, Sept. 16: College of Life Sciences & Agriculture and Thompson School 
    • Friday, Sept. 17: Paul College of Business and Economics
  • If you are unable to pick up kits on your assigned day or are not connected to a specific college you can pick up kits any day, Sept. 13-17. The busiest times are Monday morning from 8-10 a.m. and daily between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • STOKE HALL RESIDENTS: Testing kits will be distributed to you Monday in your residence hall. Do not come to the Whittemore Center. 
  • Have your Wildcat Pass up and ready to show when you arrive at the Whittemore Center. If you are new to UNH or have never accessed your Wildcat Pass please make sure you know your UNH email address and 9-digit ID number.  
  • If you are unable to pick up kits Sept. 13-17 at the Whittemore Center go to the testing office, Memorial Union Building (MUB) 213, beginning Monday Sept. 20.

Additional information:

  • The testing office in the Memorial Union Building is closed through Friday, Sept. 17; it will reopen Monday, Sept. 20. The office is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., closed university holidays.
  • COVID drop boxes lock at 4 p.m. Friday and reopen by 7 a.m. Monday. Any samples left on top of or around a locked box will be rejected by the lab and not processed.  
  • Any samples left in a box after 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday will be processed the following morning. You will receive a text/email message letting you know that you did not submit your sample on time.  
  • You can submit additional samples (no more than twice a week) outside of your scheduled testing days. Additional kits are available at the Whitt until Sept. 17 or at the MUB testing office beginning Sept. 20. 
  • If you are fully vaccinated and have not uploaded your card, please upload your card NOW at the secure and confidential portal. It typically takes two business days to be approved. Your testing schedule will not update until you are two weeks past your final inoculation.
