STEM Support Program Coordinator
Before she was the STEM Support Program Coordinator, Erica was a Rising Scholar and one of CFAR’s Academic Mentors and Tutors. CFAR is delighted that she was able to return this year as a professional staff member. Erica has first-hand experience as a STEM student at UNH, making her well-prepared and eager to help students gain confidence in science classes.
As a Neuroscience major and McNair Scholar, Erica worked with Dr. Robert Mair studying the Relationship Between Cell Responses in the Rat Medial Prefrontal Cortex and Central Thalamus During a Spatial Memory Task. She had an unbelievable experience working with the professors, graduate students, and undergrads in the lab and was able to present at several conferences, including SfN San Diego.
Erica hopes that her position at CFAR will help her to connect with students so that she will be given the opportunity to give back to the people and services that have so positively impacted her life.
