CEITL has scheduled weekly brief “drop-in” sessions beginning in August 2018 for anyone (faculty, staff, and teaching graduate students) interested in learning more about promoting student learning. You are welcome to come by without scheduling an appointment, and we will be happy to discuss any questions about teaching and learning. Some examples of questions you might have and/or how we might help include:
- How to address particular learning issues you have identified
- Syllabus development
- Assessing the learning impact of your teaching
- Developing effective slideshows
- Developing student learning outcomes
- Using clickers to enhance learning
- Implementing learning activities that compliment your learning outcomes and assessments
- And more . . .
In addition to addressing your questions related to teaching and learning, we will, as appropriate, refer you to other UNH offices and resources.
We will be available for anyone to stop by for a meeting with us in Conant Hall (next to Dimond Library) in our Resource Room (G09) at the following times every week (except during holidays):
- Tuesdays 9am-10am
- Wednesdays 2:30pm-3:30pm
- Thursdays 2:30pm-3:30pm
Note: Our first sessions will be on August 21, 22, and 23—and each week thereafter, when the university is open.
For colleagues who work at our UNH Manchester and UNH Law campuses, please send an email during drop in hours to me (Catherine.Overson@unh.edu) and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Alternatively, contact your CEITL Faculty Fellow: Leah A. Plunkett (UNH Law); Alison Paglia (UNH Manchester).
In addition to drop in hours, please feel free to schedule an appointment for an individual consultation.
