Professor John Cerullo has been a member of the faculty at UNH Manchester since 1983. His research and teaching subjects, wide-ranging during these years, have been principally in the area of modern European intellectual history, especially the history of moral thought.

John has a deep passion for his subject area. He is also committed to helping students develop the critical thinking and analytical skills which will serve them well across the spectrum of career fields. As one student wrote, "He does an awesome job getting his students to critically think about the subject materials." Another wrote, "Professor Cerullo is an incredibly knowledgeable and engaging teacher."

John is an enthusiastic, effective supporter and mentor of students doing independent research.

John's educational background comes from the University of Pennsylvania where he received a Ph.D., M.A. and B.A. in history.
