SFC Anderson joined the United States Army on July 21, 1999 as 11X Infantryman. He Attended basic training in Fort Benning GA and attended AIT for 11M, Mechanized Infantry. His first duty assignment was Fort Lewis WA 1-23IN, 3BDE, 2ID where he served as a Bradley driver, Rifleman, Team Leader, Stryker Driver and Vehicle commander.  SFC Anderson deployed to Iraq 03-04 as part of the first Stryker Brigade Combat team to be deployed.  Upon returning from deployment he was selected to be a US Army Recruiter. After his completion of recruiting school in Fort Jackson, SC, he worked as a recruiter in Gastonia, NC. After serving time as recruiter in Gastonia, NC, he was sent to Fort Drum NY to the 4-31IN, 2BDE, 10th MTN DIV (LI) where he served as a Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant and S3 NCOIC.  SFC Anderson was deployed two times with 4-31IN, Iraq 09-10 and Afghanistan 15-16.  Shortly after his returned from his last deployment, SFT Anderson was sent to USACC as a Military Science Instructor at the University of New Hampshire while teaching at Southern New Hampshire University.

His awards include the Expert Infantryman’s badge, Combat Infantryman’s badge, Bronze Star medal, Army Commendation Medals and Army Achievement medals.  SFC Anderson attended several schools to include Basic Leaders Course, Army Recruiting School, Advance Leaders Course, Air load Planners Course, Sling Load Inspector Course, Rappel Master Course, Senior Leaders Course, Master Resiliency Course, and SOCC Instructor Training Course.
