PORT 401 - Elementary Portuguese

Conducted in Portuguese. For students without previous
knowledge of Portuguese. Aural-oral practice; fundamental
speech patterns; reading and writing to achieve a firm
basis for an active command of the language. Labs. No
credit toward a major. (No credit for students who have had
two or more years of Portuguese in secondary school;
however, any such students whose studies of Portuguese have
been interrupted for a significant period of time should
consult the chairperson about possibly receiving credit.)
