This morning we’ll travel to historic Plymouth, MA, where the birth of our nation began four hundred years ago. Our tour begins at the National Monument to the Forefathers, an impressive 81-foot solid granite statue dedicated to the Pilgrims, which strives to capture in symbolic form their founding principles. Local guide Leo Martin will explain the history and significance behind each statue in the monument. Next, we’ll walk along the beautiful and historic waterfront which will take us by Plymouth Rock, Mayflower II, Brewster Gardens, and other monuments in the area.

Following the morning tour, we’ll enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch at East Bay Grille on the waterfront. The buffet includes: 1) Pasta chicken Marsala; 2) Grilled salmon; 3) Teriyaki steak tips 4) Rice pilaf with assorted vegetables and garden salad. A hot coffee and tea station is also available. For dessert, enjoy ice cream truffles.

After lunch, we’ve planned a guided tour of America’s oldest public museum, Plimouth Hall Museum, built in 1824. After viewing a film narrating the story of the Mayflower pilgrims, you’ll delight in a guided tour of the many iconic samples of the actual pilgrims’ possessions, including Myles Standish’s sword and William Bradford’s bible.
