The ARA readers read fiction, nonfiction, bios, best sellers and the classics. Members suggest books and lead discussions of their recommendations. Book choices are posted well in advance along with other proposed good “reads”
When: 3rd Tuesday of the month. (year-round), 1:00 p.m.
Since our meeting POD meets at Dover Public Library, and the library is closed still not allowing groups to meet, we will be meeting online using Zoom.
If you are uncomfortable using Zoom, keep in mind that the ARA will soon be offering tutorials on using Zoom.
If you know that you will not participate with us using Zoom, please reply to Meg and let her know so we can update our email address book.
If you were listed on the former schedule to facilitate the discussion of a particular book in previous months, and wish to keep that book on our upcoming list of books to read, let me know right away so we can schedule it for a future month.
George and Carol will be sending the Zoom invites each month. All you need do is eventually download Zoom. At first it is just a matter of clicking on a link in an email invitation to listen to others discussing the book. Later it may involve your downloading Zoom if you wish to get involved in the discussion. It is a very safe and easy download. (https://www.zoom.us) IT IS A FREE DOWNLOAD.
Meg will remind you as well each month about the book discussion and the book to discuss. Carol will send an invitation to each meeting one month prior to the event, one week before, and the morning of the discussion. That link to the discussion will be included in each of the invitations.
