PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management: Conducts weekly account team meetings and applies best practices and tools throughout the campaign.

Validating Value: Engages sales management to validate the business impact with the CXO level.

Implementing: Oversees the implementation of the proposed solution by the integrated account team.

Proposing & Closing: Submits and presents the customer with a finalized collaborative proposal with solutions, justifications, and expected results to overcome objections and win the business with maximum revenue/margin.

Building a Business Case: Articulates EMC Value and provides an overview of EMC products and services.

Qualifying & Analysis: Leads the account team and develops account strategy using customer's growth plans, budget, and project timelines.

Prospecting & Planning: Identifies high potential sales opportunities (with customer and Area Field Manager) and prioritizes them. Builds rapport and educates customer with the use of internal and external resources.

Corporate Taxation

 

Tax Accountant (1576BR - Boston): The Tax Accountant is responsible for routine to moderately complex tax return preparation, as well as compiling consistent, accurate and efficient information for tax reporting, tax compliance, and tax examinations.  A BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business (or BS degree and equivalent tax or accounting experience) plus a minimum of 1 year of related experience required.

 

Senior Tax Accountant (5399BR - Boston): The Sr. Tax Accountant is responsible for more complex projects associated with the preparation and review of tax filings as well as the maintenance of tax records and related reports.  This position also participates in complex assignments involving tax accounting.  A BS degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (or BS degree plus equivalent tax or accounting experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of experience in Taxation is required.

 

Lead Tax Accountant (1578BR - Boston): The Lead Tax Accountant supervises the planning and direction of departmental activities, including tax return filing and quarterly estimates.  The Lead Tax Accountant participates in the most complex taxation related projects within the department.  The job also entails developing advanced technical knowledge of taxation as well as overseeing the efficient operation of department audits, projects and initiatives.  A BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business (or BS degree plus equivalent tax and accounting experience) is required for this position as well as a minimum of 5 years of responsible taxation experience; a CPA is preferred.

 

Tax Manager (Boston): Manage planning and direction of tax department activities including tax compliance functions, financial reporting and tax research.  Oversee the efficient operation of certain tax processes.  Participate in tax department projects.  A BS in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent is required.  A MST, MBA or CPA is preferred.  This position typically requires at least 7 years of taxation experience. 

 

Corporate Treasury

 

Treasury Services Specialist (5067BR - Dover, NH): The Treasury Services Specialist conducts complex assignments involving treasury or treasury accounting projects such as reconciling ledger accounts or leading several departmental projects.  This position will have responsibility for supervising a unit of specialized treasury staff and developing recommendations to address problems/issues.  Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills as well as effective communications skills are required for this position.  Must be proficient with spreadsheets and database software and have a broad knowledge of accounting practices and proven decision-making skills.  A BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required along with 3+ years of related treasury, financial, and/or accounting experience is required.  A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred. 

 

Investment Accounting

 

Supervising Accountant (4620BR - Boston): This is a supervising accounting position in the Investment Accounting department for college graduates with prior experience in an investment or accounting function.  An accounting degree is preferred but not required and the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of related experience.  Liberty is looking for individuals who enjoy a challenging work environment and want to contribute in a highly dynamic atmosphere.  The Liberty Mutual Investment Accounting Group manages the accounting function for approximately $30 Billion of invested assets.

 

This position involves monthly/quarterly and yearly financial reporting and analysis on the companies within Liberty Mutual.  Year-end functions include preparation of year-end documents required by the NAIC and other related schedules and analysis.  Additional responsibilities include: account reconciliation as well as reviewing and analyzing investment results.  This person will also serve as the primary conduit between their assigned companies and the Investment Department.  The key skill requirements for this job are the ability to supervise, train and assist other staff members, solid project management skills, excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, team environment.

 

Corporate Accounting

 

Accountant (4480BR - Boston): This position is responsible for moderately complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate accounting system, managerial reports and financial statements.  Bringing inconsistencies to the supervisor's attention, understanding statutory accounting fundamental and related financial statements and the ability to ensure company reporting is in compliance with statutory requirements are all components of the position.  The successful candidate should be able to identify most statutory financial statement components (line items) as well as annual statement exhibits.  Knowledge of reinsurance concepts and related accounting as well as the ability to display profit orientation and business results focus is necessary.

 

A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 1 year of experience is required.

 

Lead Accountant (5337BR - Boston): The Lead Accountant is responsible for: (1)assisting in the development, documentation and implementation of financial accounting policies and procedures; (2)researching and providing technical expertise on accounting issues to support the needs of Corporate, SBUs, and subsidiaries; (3)researching, producing and distributing monthly Statutory and GAAP memos to financial employees; (4)monitoring and participating in insurance industry conferences and activities (i.e NAIC quarterly meetings, Interested Parties meetings, AICPA conference, etc); (5)completing the notes to the Statutory and GAAP financial statements; and (6)assisting in special projects as needed.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Healthcare Representative is responsible for calling on practicing physicians, hospitals, managed care, and other health related organizations/personnel within an assigned territory.  He/she must provide the most current information pertaining to USPG products and their approved indications in a manner which will ensure the appropriate use of these products and achieve the business potential of the territory.  Accomplishment of these goals must comply with the terms and conditions outlined in the Representative's Pledge of Ethics, Pfizer's Policies on Business Conduct, and Starter Administration Agreements.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.      Invests the time and effort to achieve the established goals for the territory such as sales, market share, doctor calls, appropriate starter distribution, etc.
2.      Listens and responds appropriately to customer's needs which will ensure acceptance or agreement with a "call plan" objective.
3.      Maintains the required technical expertise including competitive product knowledge and computer capabilities.
4.      Ensures clear, concise, and accurate communication of product information using proper medical terminology.
5.      Plans and organizes daily sales call activities to optimize the use of time and maximize the achievement of sales and market share objectives.
6.      Recognizes changes in the work environment, develops and implements alternate plans to achieve objectives, and modifies call plan/business plan activities accordingly.
7.      Demonstrates persistence to accomplish objectives despite disappointments and/or rejection of original efforts.
8.      Makes daily decisions based on logic and factual information after weighing alternatives and their consequences.

10.     Projects a professional image as demonstrated by neat physical appearance and appropriate manner of speech.

13.     Through the use of the company computer, accurately records "starter", "Physician Call", and other required activity.
14.     Conducts a variety of Medical Education Programs e.g. speakers, telenets, films, etc. in accordance with established goals and USPG objectives.
15.     Stores all starters and company supplied equipment/records and promotional material according to prescribed conditions.
16.     Maintains all company provided equipment in good operating condition.
17.     Performs special projects and assignments as directed by the District Manager.
18.     Attends and conducts separate speaker programs outside the normal working hours.
PRINCIPLE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
1.      Works under the daily direction of the District Manager.
2.      Works closely with other representatives in the district, NHO representatives, CEC, and representatives of other USPG Teams.
3.      Cooperates with various headquarters departments, when necessary and appropriate on matters of mutual concern.
4.      Maintains a positive working relationship with key customers and external contacts.
