University Writing Requirement
In 1995, the Academic Senate passed a motion that established the University of New Hampshire's current University Writing Requirement. This requirement rests on the belief that academic and disciplinary literacy represent the cornerstone of a university curriculum; it is an expression of the university's commitment to the following goals for student writing and learning.
Under these guidelines, all undergraduate students must complete four courses designated as writing intensive (WI) in order to graduate. Click here to access the registrar's list of WI courses. |
