Women's Studies and Sustainability
This week it was announced that Women's Studies professors Joelle Ryan and Courtney Marshall, along with Classics professor Susan Curry were awarded funds from the UNH Sustainability Academy (UNHSA) to offer three "Liberal Arts and Sustainability" classes next year. The courses which link with UNH's proposed sustainability dual major include "Race, Gender and Environmental Justice", "The Global Sex Industry: Exploring Transnational Feminism, Ecocriticism and Sex Worker Rights" and "Sustaining Ancient Rome: The Ecological Costs of Empire."
