UNH is located in the southern New Hampshire seacoast town of Durham
-
Thompson Hall is named for Benjamin Thompson, a Durham farmer and businessman who donated his estate to establish an agricultural college. Built in 1893, “T Hall” is now the University's main administrative building.
-
Winter transforms the campus into an outdoor lover's dreamscape. You'll find ample opportunities for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and skating right on campus. And the best downhill skiing in the East is within easy driving distance.
-
Classes often meander outdoors, where lush lawns and shady groves invite quiet places for contemplation and conversation.
-
These residential halls provide a mix of suites as well as traditional rooms. Common lounges with bright natural light, modern kitchens, laundries, a central location, and air-conditioning make these a popular choice.
-
The breathtaking architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows, and natural light will draw you into the Dimond Library, and its amenities will find you wanting to cozy up and study. There’s even a great café inside to help fuel your research.
-
Okay, maybe we’re biased, but you will not find a prettier college campus anywhere else than right here in Durham in the fall.
-
Holloway Commons is where the University community gathers to enjoy sustainably grown local food and recipes from around the world. There’s even a late-night café!
-
Kingsbury Hall, home to the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, opened in 1950. Renovated and expanded in 2007, the building now boasts state-of-the-art labs, high bays, classrooms, project spaces and gathering places.
-
In 2010, James Hall was transformed into one of the most beautiful academic buildings on campus–and one of the most sustainable. It was awarded LEED Gold certification for its resource-conserving design, construction, and function.
