Leslie Pasternack

Leslie Pasternack is excited to join Military & Veteran Services as Programming Outreach and Support Specialist.  A theatre artist and veterans' advocate, Leslie directs the performance series MAKE SURE IT’S ME, based on Kate Wenner’s play about Traumatic Brain Injury in the military.  Since 2012, Leslie has taken MAKE SURE IT'S ME to theatres and libraries across the state, as well as the Manchester Vet Center.  Her award-winning solo show, Clean Room, was also inspired in part by her experiences as the daughter of a Vietnam veteran.  She holds her Ph.D. in Theatre History from the University of Texas at Austin and is also a graduate of the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre.  Leslie spent nine years teaching theatre history and acting on the college level, first at Northeastern University in Boston and then at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA.  Leslie is an actor in UNH's applied theatre company, PowerPlay Interactive Development, and is a Board Member of HAVEN, New Hampshire’s largest violence prevention and support services agency.  In their spare time, Leslie and her husband are bossed around by their Siberian Husky, Boris.
