Two of the 45 student veterans who graduated this past weekend in the UNH 143rd Commencment, Caroline Osteen and David Labrie.  Both Caroline and David have put in many hours of hard work to earn their Masters in Public Administration and are proud to have completed them and happy to be moving on.

  • ANNOUCEMENT:  Military and Veteran Services congratulates Lt. Col. Joshua Stringer on his upcoming promotion.  A ceremony will be held this week, Thursday October 3rd.
  • American Corporate Partners (ACP) Veteran Mentoring Program

    American Corporate Partners (ACP)  is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping military veterans successfully transition into a civilian career. Through a one-on-one, yearlong mentorship, ACP's veterans work with corporate professionals in a career field of their interest to strengthen resume and interview skills, learn how to successfully network, and explore job opportunities that fit their skills and interests.  Learn more ...

  • VFW and "Sport Clips" announce scholarship program for veterans. Applications are currently being accepted for scholarships beginning January 1, 2014.  Details and requirements (along with a link to apply) can be seen at www.vfw.org/Assistance/VFW-Sport-Clips-Help-A-Hero-Scholarship/.

  • 2013/14 Brown Bag Luncheons Continue... Join us Thursdays at noon either in Room 304 of the Memorial Union Bldg (MUB) or Rm. 207 and continue throughout the academic year in the MUB.  The room schedule for October is room 304 all Thursdays of this month.   All veterans, Guard/Reservists and friends are invited to share time each week with each other and our staff. A great place for information and program updates.  See you there!

  • Military Appreciation Day @ The UNH v. James Madison University football game. Saturday November 9...12noon kickoff. More information will be coming next week. (September 30)
  • Fall is a great time to work on scholarship applications. Check out the SMART Scholarship for Service Program: an opportunity for students pursuing a degree in STEM to receive a scholarship and be employed after graduation with the Dept. of Defense. Applications open August 1, 2013 and close December 2013. For more information go to http://smart.asee.org/about. 
  • Veterans Airlift Command (VAC) - The VAC provides free air transportation to post 9/11 combat wounded and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots.
