Kenneth Hamilton
Oyster River Raid of 1694
Beaver dart
, c. 1640-1720, Castine, Maine (top)
This trade item was lashed to a Wabanaki hunting spear. Larger than the usual musk "rat" darts from the Great Lakes, this larger version was certainly for either beaver of seal.
