Eligibility to Participate in Commencement

May Graduates
Undergraduates who expect to complete their degree in May 2012, or who will be within eight credits of completing their degree, must file their intent to graduate form with the Registrar's Office on Blackboard, through Webcat in order to be invited to participate in the Commencement ceremony.
The deadline to file your intent to graduate form without a late fee is February 17; with a late fee, April 2.
Master and CAGS Graduates
Master's and CAGS students who expect to complete their degree program in May 2012, as well as those who expect to complete their programs the following September, are eligible to participate in the May Commencement ceremony.
Students must file their intent to graduate form with the Registrar's Office on Blackboard, through Webcat in order to be invited to participate in the Commencement ceremony.
The deadline to file your intent to graduate formwithout a late fee is March 12, with a late fee, April 2.
Doctoral Candidates
Doctoral students who expect to graduate in May must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. by the published deadlines in order to participate in Commencement ceremonies. Only those candidates who have completed their program are listed in the Commencement program.
Special instructions regarding the hooding ceremony will be sent to all Ph.D. students and their sponsors by the Graduate School once they indicate their intention to participate in the ceremony.
September and December 2011 Graduates
Both graduate and undergraduate students who received their degree in September or December of 2011 will be invited to participate in the Commencement ceremony on May 19, 2012.
Commencement Program
Students who file their intent to graduate form by April 2 will be listed in the printed Commencement program.
