Dining

It's never too early to make reservations for dining and lodging for Commencement weekend. Traffic in and around Durham is extremely heavy on Commencement day. We suggest that any post-ceremony lunch reservations or celebrations outside of Durham be scheduled for 2:00 p.m. or later, to avoid any disappointments or inconveniences.

Directions By Car

From I-95 South (ME), take Exit 5 (in N.H.) to the Spaulding Turnpike (Route 16N), then take Exit 6W (Route 4 West) towards Durham to the exit for Route 155A.

From I-95 North (MA), take Exit 4 (in N.H.) (left-hand exit) to the Spaulding Turnpike (Route 16N), then take Exit 6W (Route 4 West) towards Durham to the exit for Route 155A.

From the West, take route 101 East to Exit 7 in Epping (Route 125 North). Follow Route 125 North to the Lee traffic circle. Take Route 4 East to the Durham exit for Route 155A.

As you approach campus, there will be signs for parking in Lot A, the Mast Road Lot and the West Edge Lot. Shuttle service will be available to and from the West Edge Lot.

Guests with disabilities should exit Route 4 at 155A and follow signs to West Edge Lot for parking and accessible shuttle service.

By Train

Amtrak train service connects Durham to Portland, ME, and Boston, MA. The train station is adjacent to the Whittemore Center Arena. Check the Downeaster schedule by calling Amtrak at 800-USA-Rail or www.amtrakdowneaster.com.

By Air

There are three airports in the region: Manchester/Boston Regional Airport in Manchester, NH; Logan International Airport in Boston, MA; and Portsmouth Airport at Pease International Tradeport, Newington, NH.
