Weather

The Commencement ceremony will take place outdoors at Wildcat Stadium on the scheduled date regardless of weather. The ceremony will be broadcast live in the Lundholm Gymnasium for those individuals who would be more comfortable viewing the ceremony from indoors.

Seating

Seating is available in the stands of Wildcat Stadium. Due to fire code, guests are not permitted to bring their own folding chairs.

There is outdoor seating for approximately 12,000 guests in Wildcat Stadium with standing room for several hundred more. The Commencement ceremony will be broadcast live inside the Lundholm Gymnasium, which can accommodate additional guests.

Guests should plan to arrive in Durham by 8 a.m. to allow time for parking and shuttle transport to ensure they are at Wildcat Stadium or Lundholm Gymnasium for the start of the graduates procession at 9:40 a.m.

The ability for guests to find a seat is determined by weather, traffic, and especially by the time of arrival. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to find seats either in Wildcat Stadium or in the Lundholm Gymnasium.

Information
