John Resch Recognized as Citizen Scholar

Whether he is inspiring students in his classes about the 1960s through the prism of popular culture and social movements, making a lasting scholarly contribution to the field of American history as the author of numerous monographs, books, articles, and papers, using two Fulbright Lectureships to establish ties with universities in Hungary and China, or serving the state of New Hampshire as a leader of community organizations, John Resch, professor of history at UNH Manchester, exemplifies the ideal of citizen scholar. Resch received the University’s 2013 Distinguished Professor Award in recognition of this consummate professionalism and tireless advocacy of higher education in New Hampshire.
