UNH professor Yixin Liu

Yixin Liu has been appointed the Dwayne Wrightsman Professor in Finance at the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics. The appointment recognizes Liu’s outstanding scholarship and contributions.

Liu is one of the nation’s foremost researchers in corporate finance. She is a prolific scholar, putting forth 12 publications in such outlets as the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Review, Financial Analysts Journal and the Journal of Financial Economics since coming to UNH in 2007.

“Her publication record provides Paul College with tremendous reputational benefits,” says accounting and finance department chair Stephen Ciccone, adding, “The professorship provides well-deserved recognition of her research accomplishments.”

Liu is also director of the college’s Peter T. Paul Financial Policy Center, which promotes financial policy research and education.

At the recent Annual Conference on Global Economics, Business and Finance in Hong Kong, Yixin Liu received the “Best Paper Award” for her report “Corporate Cash Holdings and Acquisitions.”

“Yixin is a pleasure to work with,” notes Ciccone. “She is intelligent and motivated, and she is a team player who offers excellent advice on any research or teaching question.”
