Slightly Stoopid for UNH Fall Concert
UNH students are familiar with the Student Committee On Popular Entertainment, popularly referred to as SCOPE. Each year, SCOPE brings concerts for the student body to enjoy with friends, both student and non-student. In the past, SCOPE brought artists ranging from Eli Young Band (a country band) to Tiësto (a DJ) to Kendrick Lamar (an up and coming rapper) to Nelly (a well known rapper). These different artists styles show how the committee reaches out to find different types of artists that all students can enjoy. The concerts always show to be a good time for students, and provide a different atmosphere than they are a used to weekend to weekend.
As a junior here at UNH, I have only been able to attend one concert here, but I can speak for my friends who have attended multiple, that SCOPE always brings a great show for the student body. SCOPE announced on Thursday, October 16th, who they will bringing to us this fall. This year for UNH’s fall concert, SCOPE presents Slightly Stoopid. The show will take place in the Whittemore Center on Saturday, November 15th. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, October 23rd. Slightly Stoopid is a band based out of California. They play slightly more reggae music, so it’s definitely a switch up from past performers.
Reactions from students on the SCOPE Facebook Event page where they announced the artist have been mixed, but overall I’m sure turn out will be impressive as usual. SCOPE’s concerts allow students to come together for one common goal: listening to music. UNH Social Team will definitely be there, will you? Let us know! I know I am looking forward to it, and already cannot wait for the spring show that SCOPE will bring us. Great job, SCOPE!
