What did you study at UNH?
What were you doing 1 year out of college?
I was working as a speech-language therapist through New Hampshire Easter Seal, both at an Easter Seal School and in the clinic. My husband and I resided in Hooksett, NH.
What were you doing 5 years out of college?
My husband and I continued to live in Hooksett, NH. My husband, Brian worked at Nashua Corporation and I stayed home with our three children.
What were you doing 10 years out of college?
My husband and I were living in Minnetonka, MN, raising our five children. I was home with my children, but provided childcare for many others.
What are you doing now?
My husband and I live in Hillsboro, Oregon. We have eleven children and eleven grandchildren. We adopted our last two children from Oregon’s Department of Human Services (DHS). I just completed my master’s degree from California State University Northridge in Communication Disorders and Sciences. I will soon be a pediatric speech-language pathologist.
How do you feel your time at UNH has had an impact on where you are today?
I discovered my professional career at UNH, dated my husband all through school, became independent from my parents, and earned my bachelor’s degree (in 3 1/2 years). My years at UNH were years of growth and wise choices (mostly), which have impacted the rest of my life.
Why do you believe in UNH?
UNH provided me a place to grow, while having fun, figuring out how to study, and build relationships that have been everlasting. Additionally, UNH is located in a beautiful town. I have many fond memories of my time in Durham.
