What did you study at UNH?

Major: Education, Communication Disorders, Counseling

Affiliation: College of Health and Human Services (CHHS), College of Liberal Arts (COLA), Graduate School

What were you doing 1 year out of college?

I completed a year long teaching internship in Franklin, NH in 1985-1986.  I then took a position in Vermont for 2 years as a Speech/Language therapist working in three elementary schools.

What were you doing 5 years out of college?

I moved to Barrington, NH and took a classroom teaching job in Nottingham, NH with 4th and 5th grade levels.

What were you doing 10 years out of college?

I completed my Masters degree in Counseling and took a position at Sunburn Regional High School in a special education alternative school program.

What are you doing now?

I recently retired from being in public education for 31 years.  I am looking to move forward and become certified as a driving instructor for the DMV!

How do you feel your time at UNH has had an impact on where you are today?

UNH provided me an opportunity to expand my knowledge, acquire additional degrees and work within the field of education which I have loved.

Why do you believe in UNH?

UNH is a good quality university with a diverse offering of educational programs–this diversity allows students to change and expand their career choices as they move through their experience.
