What did you study at UNH?
What were you doing one year out of college?
Right after graduation I moved to Boston and starting working at the Westin Copley Place as a group reservations coordinator. In less than a year I had been promoted twice and was the executive meeting specialist for the hotel. I learned a ton and had a lot of fun along the way.
What are you doing now?
I can’t believe it’s been almost five years since I graduated. I am the director of events at the Revere Hotel Boston Common, where I’ve been for the past three years. I absolutely love my job. I am also the co-chair of the board of UNH Young Hospitality Professionals, which fellow alum Emily Spencer (’10) and I formed two years ago. Oh, and I bought a house and got engaged this year so I am staying busy.
How do you feel your time at UNH has had an impact on where you are today?
My time at UNH completely changed me in a way that I don’t think any other school could have. It not only prepared me academically for my career but it also taught me countless life lessons…not to mention the lifetime of memories with some of the best friends anyone could ask for.
Why do you believe in UNH?
Because it is made up of a network of students, faculty, and alumni who are the most caring, talented, creative, and fun people in the world.
