Alumni Tale: Greg Tassinari ’11

What did you study at UNH?

Are you a member of a UNH Alumni Network? If so, which one?

What were you doing 1 year out of college?

One year out of college I was working as an entry level Sales Manager for Marriott International in a regional office outside of Boston.

What were you doing 5 years out of college?

Five years out I was working in NYC for Marriott International. A few years after working in the Boston area I was sought out to come work for the NYC Midtown Manhattan Sales Team. In the mix of the move I was engaged to my now lovely wife Marybeth who I met at UNH when I was applying to be a Tour Guide.

What are you doing now?

Now, can you guess? I am still with the same company working in NYC. I shifted my career slightly to Revenue Management to gain more experience in my field.

Did you have an international experience (study, research, internship or volunteer abroad) while at UNH?

When I was at UNH I had the pleasure of studying abroad in Rome, Italy and did this through a program called API. I loved every moment of my experience and got to travel a lot while I was abroad. I wish I had done a full year as I got to learn so much about different cultures.

How do you feel your time at UNH has had an impact on where you are today?

My time at UNH has been a great foundation for me today. Not only did I learn a lot in classes but my involvement made the biggest impact. I was involved in SCOPE, Sailing, and was also a Tour Guide.
