Alumni Tale: Emily Tucker ’17

What did you study at UNH?

Social Work in the College of Health and Human Services

What are some of your strongest memories from UNH?

Joining Greek Life! I loved joining my sorority. Being part of an organization like Kappa Delta helped me grow into a confident and professional adult
through my four years. I learned to work with people who have different ideas than I do, how to network, and how to give back to the community. Joining
this organization has been a life long commitment. I still attend philanthropy events and even volunteer with the chapter at Boston University!

How do you feel your time at UNH has had an impact on where you are today?

I loved my time at UNH. My four years of college helped me to become more independent and further develop my problem solving and leadership skills.
Since graduation I have taken these skills to the professional world and now back to the academic world in an accelerated nursing program at MGH.

Tell us about your career path to date… what have been some career milestones in your life?

Since graduation I have worked in recruiting for finance and accounting to earn and save some money. Starting in January if this year I have actually
started back in school at MA General Institute of Health Professions in the 16 month accelerated bachelor’s of nursing program. I will graduate May 2020
with my BSN and start my career in nursing!
