Leadership is important to the UNH community. UNH provides many outlets in which students can develop into leaders—and this is thanks to those who do not always necessarily get the gratitude they deserve. Leadership donors will be visiting campus tomorrow for the University of New Hampshire Foundation’s inaugural Leadership Giving Circle Celebration luncheon and the A Thousand Thanks celebration! The main focus of these events is to allow for leadership donors to be recognized for their generosity, and to remind them that they are essential pieces of the leadership giving circle. According to Alumni Coordinator Megan Hales, “it is an effort to thank them and to let them know what is happening on campus.” Student leaders will be dining with donors, as well as moderating the event, and sitting on the panel. Further, President Huddleston, UNH administrators, and students past and present will be speaking.
The A Thousand Thanks donor appreciation event will be held in the MUB Granite State Room at 1pm on Wednesday, and all are invited to stop by to write thank-you notes to donors in honor of National Philanthropy Day. I highly suggest you stop by and learn about the importance of these donors to the UNH community. Beyond the informational aspects, however, there will also be music, games, food (candy!) and the primary presentation of the UNH senior gift!
Please stop by tomorrow, and learn the effect these generous donors have had on your education. You may have not had the opportunities UNH presented you without the generous donations of those who will be in attendance tomorrow!
It takes two minutes to write a thank-you letter, but the imprint these donors have/will make on your education will last a lifetime.
