Join the winning tradition,

join a character building program

We as a coaching staff are interested in bringing highly motivated scholar athletes to the University. Over the past years students have come to the University from such programs as St. Paul's, Phillips Exeter Academy and The Gunnery, and such clubs as Great Bay Rowing, Durham Boat Club, Dresden Rowing (now the Upper Valley Rowing Foundation) and the Augusta Youth Rowing Club. Although previous rowing experience helps, it is not necessary to be a competitive collegiate rower. The majority of our rowers did not begin their careers until college. The main prerequisites are integrity and the drive to achieve a common goal.

The UNH novice rowing program has a long tradition of success, in both our league and national championships. Novice crews have won medals at nearly all of the last twenty New England Rowing Championships. Novice crews took silver medals in 2005 and 2006 at the New England Rowing Championships. In 1999, the novice also won the Champion International Collegiate Regatta, the first heavyweight gold medal for UNH in that event.
