Rachel Rawlinson
Rawlinson graduated from UNH in 1999 with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Environmental Conservation and was a four-year member of Women's Crew. Rachel obtained her Masters in Public Health in 2004.
Elected tri-captain her senior year, Rawlinson led her teammates to the school's first ever gold medal at the New England Championships in the Women's Varsity Eight race. The following week, Rawlinson sat 7 seat in the Varsity Eight that earned a silver medal at ECAC's and helped the team win the All-Around Women's Points Trophy. This accomplishment led the team to the IRA's the same year.
Rawlinson is excited for the opportunity to continue coaching at UNH. Her goals are to build upon the former coach’s, Sue Taylor, foundation to continue to create a successful collegiate program. As an alumni of the rowing program at UNH, Rawlinson is dedicated to continuing to create a positive and competitive rowing program at the University of New Hampshire. In the 2006-2007 season, she coached the Varsity Women through the transition to Campus Recreation and to their first New England medal in three years. The varsity women went into the 2007 ECAC National Championships ranked 4th.
