CAMP PHILOSOPHY

Individual rower and coxswain development is the priority. Participants will leave the camp with a greater understanding of rowing and coxswain techniques, team dynamics, and the importance of flexibility and fitness. It is our goal to provide an environment that is filled with learning, healthy challenges and FUN!

COST

ROWERS: $1120XXCOXSWAINS: $1030

From camper feedback, the camp expanded from 5 days in 2011 to 8 days for 2012. This fee covers 8 days of rowing/coxswain instruction, a camp t-shirt, meals at the award winning UNH dining halls, full evening programs and on-campus lodging in campus dormitory.

Participant is registered for the camp upon receipt of a

$350 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT

Registration is contingent on space availability.

Final camp balance DUE by May 25 , 2012.

 

Participants will check-in between 1:00 pm -3:00 pm on SATURDAY, JULY 7th. Check-out will be on SUNDAY, JULY 15th after the camp races.

CAMP LOCATION AND FACILITIES

The University of New Hampshire is located in Durham, a small semi-rural town 15 minutes from the Atlantic seacoast. UNH is equidistant (80 minutes) from metropolitan Boston, MA and the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

The University of New Hampshire Boathouse is located at Jackson's Landing- about 1 mile from campus. Water sessions will be held at the boathouse using UNH's equipment.

The Whittemore Center is home to UNH Campus Recreation. The camp will utilize the center for strength and conditioning instruction, pilates, and video analysis from HD cameras.
