Lindsey McGill ’11
Cheshire County, N.H.
As a sophomore, Lindsey McGill ’11 was awarded the 2008 Ann Manchester Kelley Scholarship for Nursing. In September 2009, the junior from Walpole was thrilled to learn her Kelley scholarship had been renewed.
“The cost of school is daunting, and Professor Kelley’s support has been invaluable,” says McGill.
A registered nurse and a founding member of the UNH nursing department, Kelley established the scholarship in 2006 to support New Hampshire-based nursing students.
In her first year at UNH, McGill was the recipient of the Brooks Lord Nursing Scholarship, another merit-based award to support nursing students from New Hampshire.
McGill says she is honored by the support her education and goals have been given. “It means so much to know that there is someone who believes in me and is backing my efforts.”
