John King chose UNH for the diversity of its student population and its academic offerings. “I’m from a small town in northern New Hampshire, and I wanted to widen my horizons by going to a larger school,” says King. “UNH fit the description perfectly with its exemplary education system and first-class campus.”
As someone who has always enjoyed and excelled at writing, King decided to major in justice studies and political science. But, King came to UNH with more of a math and science background. “Working one on one with faculty members has been very helpful,” says King. “Plus, my introductory courses in political science have given me a strong foundation. I’m better able to formulate my ideas as a result.”
King notes: “My dream is to pursue a career in the justice system and eventually earn my law degree.”
For King, attending UNH has been a critical a life-changing experience. “It’s been incredible,” says King. “People in New Hampshire need to know what a great university it is.”
