Engagement & Outreach
Consistent with its mission, strengths, and resources, the University is actively engaged in extending ideas, expertise, and services to meet the challenges posed by life in the 21st century. The University supports and encourages community members to become participants in the programs and services that are designed to enrich the lives of New Hampshire residents. Included in this is Durham: It’s Where U Live, a catalyst for better connection between University of New Hampshire students and their surrounding community.
The University is also committed to meeting the educational needs of nontraditional students and community members as part of its mission to provide the best in teaching, outreach scholarship, research and education. Among the most successful outreach programs are Cooperative Extension, Continuing Education and Summer Session, and New Hampshire Public Television (NHPTV).
