Communications Summit – Presenter Bios
Martha Barker, Senior Graphic Designer, Editorial and Creative Services
Martha has been a graphic designer at UNH (on and off) since 1987. With a BFA in Communication Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology, she has been a staff designer at a small design studio in Corning, N.Y., a staff designer at Cornell University, and art director for an ad agency in Portland, Maine. While focusing mainly on print publications, Martha is also responsible for keeping a watchful eye on the University’s graphic identity and ensuring that UNH maintains a strong and cohesive visual impression.
Jason Boucher, Social Media Coordinator, UNH New and Emerging Media
Jay has been associated with UNH since 1993 when he began working for WUNH 91.3 FM. A former play-by-play announcer for UNH men’s hockey and music director, he has always been passionate about media. Jay’s duties involve engaging students, faculty, staff, and alumni through social media and creating further avenues to bolster UNH's online communication. Jay also acts as president of Social Media Club New Hampshire and co-host’s seacoast New Hampshire TweetUp events. @bouchermedia
Bridget Finnegan, Director, UNH New and Emerging Media
Bridget has been at UNH since 2001. Prior to her current position at UNH she was University Webmaster. In a former life Bridget had a career as a print designer and illustrator. She has a BFA from Washington University in Saint Louis in Photography.

Neil Larson, Technical Lead, UNH New and Emerging Media
Neil began exploring web design and development amidst an era of <blink> tags and scrolling marquees. Nowadays, Neil tackles web design and coding projects with a focus on visual strategy, web standards, accessibility, user experience, and responsive design. Neil also engages in strategic planning, consulting and development of online ad campaigns, mobile applications and multimedia presentations - with follow-up analytics, tracking and reporting. Neil resides with his wife and three children in Somersworth, NH. @nigelmedia
Erika Mantz, director, UNH Media Relations
Erika joined Media Relations 11 years ago as a writer. Before coming to UNH she worked as a police reporter, assistant editor of a weekly arts and entertainment magazine, and at New Hampshire Public Television. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Syracuse University. Follow Erika on Twitter @UNHNews.
David Moore, Editorial Director, UNH Editorial and Creative Services
Dave Moore has worked in Editorial and Creative Services for 11 years. Prior to that, he worked in Admissions Publications at Boston University and for several national magazines in Boston. He is an avid soccer enthusiast who claims to have invented the em dash.
Scott Ripley, Multimedia Producer/Director, UNH Video Services
Scott joined UNH as a producer/director in November of 2007 after nine years working as a Videographer/Editor in television news. He spent five years at WHEC-TV in Rochester NY and four years at WFXT-TV in Boston. He won an AP Award and several National Press Photographers Association awards at WHEC. At WFXT, he was runner up for NPPA regional photographer of the year twice, was nominated for several Emmy’s and won 2 New England Regional Emmy’s in 2006. He has a Bachelors Degree in TV Broadcasting from SUNY Oswego. Scott specializes in videography and producing news style stories on a wide range of subjects at UNH. Kim Wall, UNH Manchester Public Relations Program Coordinator
Kim joined UNH Manchester in 2005 as Public Relations Program Coordinator in the Marketing & Community Relations Department. She is part of the college’s social media team, as well as coordinating lectures, film series, art exhibits and the annual Commencement ceremony. She is the editor of UNH Manchester’s newsletters, Mill Works and Campus Connections. She graduated from UNH Manchester in 2001 with a B.A. in communication arts and in 2011 from SNHU with an M.S. in organizational leadership.
Lori Wright, Senior Editor and Writer, UNH Media Relations
Lori covers the research and activities of the College of Liberal Arts, and Whittemore School of Business and Economics. Prior to joining UNH, she served as a newspaper reporter and copy editor in Texas, Florida and New Hampshire, a chief copy editor for an online financial news site, and a corporate communications specialist. She holds a bachelor's in journalism from Louisiana State University, and a master's in political science from UNH. Dawn D. Zitney, M.Ed., Communications and Information Coordinator UNH Health Services
Dawn has been at UNH since 2004 and is proud to be "the voice" of Health Services on various social media outlets (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Foursquare, YouTube, etc.). She collaborates with colleagues and students on ways to use social media as a tool to create positive health behavior change. Dawn enjoys being the co-creator and co-facilitator of a women’s empowerment group Being Fierce and Fabulous and is the brainchild of the Annual UNH Peeps Show. She lives in Durham with her family and the true love of her life, her cat Ms. Ella. @writewithin
