Application Deadlines
*Please consult individual program pages for application forms and materials. Applications must be submitted to the Hamel Center office (Hood House 209) no later than 4:30 p.m. on the deadline dates listed below.
Undergraduate Research Award (URA)
Application deadlines: October 5, 2011 for research during fall 2011, January Term 2012, or spring 2012
March 1, 2012 for research during spring, summer, or fall 2012
Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)
SURF Abroad: Nine weeks of full-time research outside the USA
Application deadline: January 11, 2012 for summer 2012
Students who are on a study abroad program in the same country in which they will conduct their research may submit their applications by March 1, 2012 for summer 2012.
SURF USA: Ten weeks of full-time research at UNH or another research site within the USA.
Application deadline: March 1, 2012 for summer 2012
International Research Opportunities Program (IROP):
Second semester sophomores and first semester juniors may apply for IROP grants.
Application deadlines: October 12, 2011 for juniors who will conduct research abroad in summer 2012
April 11, 2012 for sophomores who will conduct research abroad in summer 2013
Research Experience and Apprenticeship Program (REAP)
Application deadline: April 2, 2012 for summer 2012
Study Abroad Research Grants
Application deadline: rolling (application should be submitted before research begins)
Honors Thesis Grants
Application deadline: rolling (application should be submitted before thesis is completed)
Research Presentation Grants
Application deadline: rolling (application should be submitted before conference)
