Diversity Network Program

Thermo Fisher Scientific Site Visit, March '14The Liberty Mutual sponsored Diversity Network Program (DNP) provides students from traditionally-underrepresented groups with career education and graduate/professional school guidance, coupled with advice and mentoring from employers and other professionals who are dedicated to diversity in the workforce.

We encourage students of color, international students, GBLT students, students with disabilities, low income/first generation college students, veterans, students in fields traditionally underrepresented  such as women in the sciences, technology, mathematics, and engineering, as well as any UNH student who values diversity in a future career, to join us.

The Program:

To get the most out of the program, students are encouraged to attend DNP training sessions and meet with a UACC career counselor prior to attending the DNP networking events and Career and Internship Fair. Training sessions cover career development and planning, networking skills, preparing for professional meetings and conferences, and resume and cover letter basics. Each semester, there is a capstone DNP event to build a professional network while practicing networking skills.

"Inclusion is very simple to me. Strong, healthy organizations include everybody. To succeed, we must be open to everybody and, when they arrive, we must make them feel accepted. ” - Edmund F. Kelly, Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Mutual, the DNP sponsor.

Because of Liberty Mutual’s generosity, the DNP has expanded its efforts to more students in a variety of ways. We have included site visits, employer receptions, on-line info sessions, and training as well as etiquette events. Many thanks to our corporate sponsor, Liberty Mutual!
