Human Service Students, including psychology, sociology, criminal justice and social work interested in working with court-involved and troubled teens. Gain significant exposure to the needs of youth in the areas of social services; court and legal systems; educational and vocational support; and physical and mental health advocacy. Intern activities include planning and co-facilitating recreational activities and basic life skill groups, assist in client tutoring and agency assigned or *student proposed project-based work. Participate in all programming activities, staff meetings and trainings. *Projects can be tailored to meet educational/ course requirements.

Brief description of typical entry-level position or internship:

Entry Level Caseworker Positions: Residential Caseworker Provide advocacy work including educational, legal, vocational and medical, plan and facilitate recreational activities, conduct behavior management and crisis intervention to adolescents in group home settings. BA/BS preferred. Outreach and Tracking Caseworker Provide counseling, educational advocacy, family intervention, and community networking to adolescents and families. A BA/BS in a human service related field is required.
