Brief description of typical entry-level position or internship:

Position: Investment Performance Associate
Department: Non-Marketable Alternative Assets Control Group
Status: Exempt, Full-time
Reports to: Director, Non-Marketable Alternative Assets Control Group
Office: Boston
Responsibility: Collect and analyze performance data in support of the Alternative Assets Performance Measurement area.
Principal Duties:
1) Manage the ongoing collection of quarterly financial statements and original source documents from alternative assets partnership managers. Identify and solicit missing data. Each Associate is responsible for monitoring between 150 and 200 funds on a quarterly basis. Funds will consist of venture capital, private equity, oil & gas, real estate, non-U.S. global private equity, distressed securities, and fund of funds ("alternative assets") partnerships.
2) Analyze data relating to fund, member institution, and company from quarterly financial statements or original source documents. Input data into database. Discuss discrepancies with or seek additional information from alternative assets partnership managers.
3) Analyze and verify fund data and run standard single fund analysis reports. Coordinate production with Production Assistant and final delivery with Manager.
4) Maintenance and backfill of fund level, company level, and member institution level data as requested by Manager.
Qualifications:
· Accounting or Finance degree and a demonstrated interest in Finance preferred. · MS Excel required, Access a plus.
· Ability to work under time pressure; strong communication skills; and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information.
